A very good week

We packed up and headed up to UC Davis on Monday to have a recheck with Dr Stepita. Abby got to sport her new muzzle.
Her Hannibal Lecter Look... So OK it's pretty awful but it's better than last year they crammed her mug into medium muzzle...

Our visit went really well and Dr Stepita was pleased with her progress. We started with an office visit and finished with some de-conditioning. We talked about puppy Prozac and herbs and we also talked about my plan for the next few months.

The plan

• finding more dogs for Abby to walk with (one dog each walk)during the week
  
• Leash aggressive class, &
  
• Dogs for play dates in the backyard.

We worked with two dogs and Abb's did really well with the first dog and she had one reaction with the second. Dr Stepita was really happy with my confidence with Abb's (thanks Wendy).

I left the session feeling like I've made some progress and having some hope to get past our stall.

The rest of the week as been great, Abb's has had 4 walks in a row with no reaction, whoo hoo! I've started a new spreadsheet tracking her walks which I should have been doing but it was depressing, always issues... In the last two weeks Abby has had 11 outings and only 3 reactions and when she does react it is contained very quickly and doesn't mess up the rest of the walk. So in a day or so I'll have a link to the progress log.

We had a great walk with Chris & Izzy, Abby didn't do the "I WANT TO PLAY" move, she was really good. We are hoping to have more of those walks...
